Born from an unwavering passion for the arts, Danny embarked on a transformative journey by studying photography at the esteemed Newcastle College of Art. His career took flight as he delved into the realm of black and white printing, honing his craft with the BBC Hulton Picture Library (now Hulton Getty). In 1986, driven by a relentless pursuit of excellence, Danny established Danny Chau Photolabs in the heart of London's EC1 'Print Mile’.

Thus began a remarkable career that has spanned over three decades, marked by collaborations with prestigious clients that include The Royal Family, The National Portrait Gallery, Bob Carlos Clarke, The Guardian, Jane Bown, and David Hockney, among countless others. Danny's artistic prowess and technical finesse have made him a trusted name in the industry.

As the digital era began to take its fledgling steps, Danny once again found himself at the vanguard of innovation. In 1998, he became one of the pioneering figures in the UK to embrace Epson's large-format printers, recognising their potential to revolutionise the world of printing. This pivotal decision laid the foundation for the birth of Chaudigital in 2002, marking a complete transition to digital fine art printing.

Today, Danny is hailed as one of the world's foremost fine art printers, his expertise revered and sought after by artists and connoisseurs alike. In 2006, fuelled by a spirit of adventure, he relocated to Hong Kong, where he embarked on a new chapter of his journey. His first exhibition in this vibrant city was a collaboration with the legendary Chow Yun Fat for Louis Vuitton, showcasing his unwavering dedication to his craft and his ability to capture the essence of his subjects.

Throughout his illustrious career, one thing remains unaltered: Danny's deep-rooted love for photography. With every click of his camera's shutter, he continues to capture the world around him with a sense of unbridled wonder and curiosity—an enduring flame that has burned brightly since the very beginning of his artistic odyssey.
