YEUNG Kwok-Fan, Margaret was born in Hong Kong. She graduated from the Fine Arts Department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1985, studied for a Master of Fine Arts in 2003 and a Doctor of Fine Arts in 2013 at RMIT University in Australia.

She started painting modern Chinese ink painting in 1986, and is now the Honorary Chairman of the “Hong Kong Modern Chinese Ink Painting Society”. She has held solo exhibitions and joined many joint exhibitions in different countries, and her artworks have been collected by various art museums. She has published two books, including the “Shadow Mural” in 2000 and the “Nature Chasing” in 2001. Margaret Yeung creates her artwork through digital coding from the Chinese keyboard. She generates the “crackled wall texture stroke” by computer software, demonstrating the destruction of Chinese culture in the Computer Age. Through integrating Chinese painting with computer technology, she has committed herself to exploring the “hybridity” and “harmoniousness” between them.
