Shadow Walkers 2024

Silent Observers 2023

This series of images captures a captivating dynamic between the rhythms of everyday life and the imposing presence of the city's sprawling advertisements and murals. These outsized visuals don't just lend drama to the bustling street scenes; they take on an almost living quality, seemingly becoming silent observers who have played an integral part in our world, quietly witnessing the passage of life.

Maximum City 2023

‘Maximum City’ captures the stark intensity of unabated urbanization in a futuristic world. The city, a sprawling labyrinth of steel giants and neon arteries, pulses with relentless energy. Its residents, navigating the claustrophobic streets and towering walkways, are dwarfed by their own creation. The once vibrant hues of nature, the verdant greenery and infinite sky, are lost to a monochrome palette of concrete and glass. This image is a stark testament to our ceaseless march towards progress, a vivid portrayal of a world where humanity's footprint has eclipsed the gentle touch of nature.

‘As Life Goes By’ collection 2022

This is a rundown and old part of Hong Kong, often neglected but still retaining its own hustle and bustle.  It was a gloomy, chilly rainy day. I chose a long dark aisle watching and shooting by-passers from all walks of life rushing through inside my viewfinders.  Life goes by even under an incessant rain.  No drama, no poses, no pretense, but instead the place was infused with urban energy.

‘Hustle Bustle’ collection 2022

After more than three years' pandemic-induced sluggishness, Hong Kong is gradually picking up her own hustle and bustle. Urban dwellers, while still fully masked, started rushing out day-in-and-day-out from every corner of this city. The perpetual human flow provides a striking perspective to street photographers, and this picture is my attempt to blend multiple street scenes to reflect the city’s re-emergence to her usual haste and fast pace.

Old Meets New 2021

In an industrial district in Hong Kong surrounded by a mix of old and new developments, the shot was taken to highlight a contrasting co-existence of a new skyscraper’s stylishly designed front entrance and an old industrial complex with myriads of air conditioners, pipes, wires mounted on its wall. The shadow and light accentuated the overall monochromic effect of the city’s architecture.

The Bustling Human Flow

Taken in a heavy-traffic shopping mall in Hong Kong. The extraordinary human flow sparked my inspiration of creating a mystical ghostly image of people in motion by slowing the shutter speed. I tried to search for a standstill person to provide a contrasting perspective. Spotted one in the center, I then held my breath, pressed the shutter of my handheld camera, and captured that decisive moment.

‘Silent Herd’ collection 2023

A diverse crowd assembled, flowing quietly like a harmonious herd towards the coastline. Their unhurried steps mirrored the serene atmosphere. Transfixed by the sun's warm hues, they felt inner calm and peace. The tranquil scene highlighted humanity's humble presence amidst nature's vastness. This quiet, herd-like procession emphasized the truth of our minor role within the grand tapestry of the natural world.
